Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech brought back from the dead to save the Labour government from Magisterial Inquiries

UPDATE: We have received a short statement by Jason Azzopardi saying that he did not give any comments to the press about the ongoing Magisterial Inquiry requests and he will only give comments in Court.

This week I was exceptionally busy with foreign affairs, so some things may have slipped my radar, but I am currently catching up with all the scandals and tribulations of local politics. Yesterday, I read an article by MaltaToday about the latest case of a Magistrate who refused Jason Azzopardi’s requests for Magisterial Inquiries. The Magistrate in question is about Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech. The story qquotes Jason Azzopardi who questions the reason why Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech has been assigned to review requests for Magisterial Inquiries.

I find it surprising that MaltaToday ran with this story because they consistently claim that Jason Azzopardi is liar.

Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech was subject to an investigation by this website over a series of abuses and irregularities. She was also in contact with the Prime Minister via WhatsApp, and was eventually transferred from the financial crimes court to a district court following issues over court evidence in a Court Case involving Keith Schembri.

Obviously, Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech can’t be trusted to handle any investigation about politicians, especially if they are from the Labour Party or related to Alex Borg, so that fact that she has been entrusted with Magisterial Inquiries is extremely suspicious.

I will be trying to get in touch with Jason Azzopardi later today.
