We have long expressed our protest at how the National Book Council has systematically discriminated against our publishing house whilst enthusiastically supporting our competitors. This discrimination has come at a significant material expense for us.
Today, we have received the first ever official confirmation by the local Courts that we are right.
Three years ago we opened a case in the Constitutional Court on just one instance of discrimination. We have won the case and we are ready to use it as reference in civil cases seeking compensation about all instances of discrimination that directly lead to economic damages in our regard.
We are satisfied of this legal outcome after a three-year Court battle and we appeal the National Book Council to come to an agreement with us unless the Council wants us to escalate our legal issues to the next level.
The sentence by the Constitutional can be downloaded here.
We would also like to thank our lawyer David Bonello for his constant support and his legal work that lead to this victory. We are very grateful to him.
