Colombian mercenaries who fought in Sudan on behalf of the Rapid Support Forces interviewed by The Africa Report have claimed that they entered Sudan through the Libyan/Chad border.
The Libyan/Chad border in the north-west of Sudan is an important crossing point for the RSF from which it receives military aid donated by the United Arab Emirates.
Earlier this year, the Chadian army conducted border security and demarcation operations in cooperation with the Libyan army with the assistance of Hungarian military officials. Hungary has denied this story.
