The Labour Party renews its campaign in support of Adrian Delia

Following yesterday’s survey result, the Labour Party has renewed its campaign in favour of Adrian Delia. Nationalist MPs supporting Adrian Delia are being described as “genuine Nationalists” while the rest are condemned as “extremists”. Ricky Caruana, the latest unofficial Labour Party propagandist is leading the charge.

Their argument is basically the same as previous: Adrian Delia, or his new student, Alex Borg can save the Nationalist Party. However this is factually incorrect. The Nationalist Party’s performance in the European Parliament elections was worse under Adrian Deliaโ€™s leadership than it was under Bernard Grech. The difference is also very significant. PN won 3 seats in the European Parliament elections of 2024 and won just 2 seats with Adrian Delia as PN leader in 2019. The vote gap in 2019 was a staggering 42,000 votes and in 2024 the vote gap was 8554 votes.

Labour Party propagandists aren’t interested in facts. They are simply interested in ingratiating with Labour and supporting Alex Borg and Adrian Delia is a “safe way” to do this by pretending they are not supporting Labour.
