Yesterday, following the release of US-Israeli hostage, Edan Alexander, through unilateral US diplomatic efforts and negotiations with Hamas, Israeli’s Premier Benjamin Netanyahu released a bizarre statement claiming credit for the hostage’s release. In his statement, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the combined efforts of his “war strategy” and US diplomatic efforts made a winning combination.
Unverified press reports also state that Edan Alexander refused to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister.
The Israeli Defencs Forces stopped all fighting yesterday in Gaza to facilitate the release of Edan Alexander, in a temporary ceasefire that was imposed by US President Donald Trump. Unverified press reports state that Premier Netanyahu was furious over this move. IDF operations resumed soon after hitting at multiple targets with airstrikes and shelling including Khan Younis Hospital.
The IDF is currently conducting a campaign intended to displace the people of Gaza called “Gideon’s Chariots”.
