Protests against the Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh have continued in the Libyan capital, Tripoli for the second night. Protests against the government and armed-factions started on Wednesday night following clashes between pro-government armed factions and the Rada armed-faction.
Up to 38 Maltese nationals have been evacuated from Tripoli and multiple governments are advising citizens to leave the capital city while also issuing warnings against travel to the country.
Meanwhile, Human Rights Group, Libya Crimes Watch, has urged the Government of National Unity to hand over Osama Najim Al-Masri to the International Criminal Court. Osama Al-Masri, who was affiliated with the Rada armed-faction, is being sought by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity. The Libyan government has also closed down the Security Operations and Judicial Security Administration which was previously headed by Al-Masri and the illegal Directorate for Combatting Illegal Migration. The Rada armed-faction is still intact and a ceasefire has currently obliged all armed factions to return to their barracks.
