Russian launches up to 170 drones at Kyiv and civilians during overnight attack

Russia has launched up to 170 drones at Kyiv and its residents earlier today. Up to 15 people were reportedly injured and taken to hospital.

Russia has so far refused to accept Ukraine’s offer for an unconditional thirty-day ceasefire and is instead is pressing Ukraine with demands of capitulation including giving up the territories it lost and giving up more territory. The war in Ukraine is set to continue as Russia keeps fighting for territory while Ukraine defends itself against the invasion.

Russia is also continuing and even escalating its attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilians, despite ongoing peace brokering efforts by the US. President Trump is also holding long conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and even promised him trade deals after Putin stops his war on Ukraine.

The White House previously announced that Russia had agreed to stop its attacks on Ukrainian civilians following US pressure: attacks on Ukrainian cities have only escalated since the White House statement was released.
