PN Leader appears on Net TV and makes no mention about resignation: blames attacks on PN and small parties

Bernard appeared on Net television earlier this morning in what seems to be a hastily organised interview while he’s taking a break. The Opposition Leader tried to deflect attention from the elephant in the room and stated that Manoel Island should be turned into a National Park.

On the disastrous survey result of today, the Opposition Leader blamed attacks on PN and small political parties.

Party activists are urging the Opposition Leader to resign with Adrian Delia’s faction leading the call. However, The Maltese Herald can also additionally confirm that Bernard Grech is also losing support within his own faction.

The Nationalist Party will hold a series of meetings tomorrow to decide on Bernard Grech’s fate.

Some including Mark, but also Republika and Daphne associated NGO’s and their supporters will say that Adrian Delia / Alex Borg are not suitable to lead the PN. I get your reasons, I really do. But let’s think of the different PN leaders in the last 12 years.

First we had Simon Busuttil… The guy meant well but he was a disaster and based his short time as leader almost exclusively on the subject of Joseph Muscat, Keith Schembri, Konrad Mizzi and corruption. I as did a large number of PN supporters got fed up of hearing the same thing from him and not much else.

Adrian Delia was never given a proper chance. From before day one he was constantly attacked by Daphne Caruana Galizia and the so-called “Blue Heroes” faction within the Nationalist Party. Delia’s one big mistake was calling Daphne a “bicca blogger”. This came back to haunt him after her murder.

Since then Adrian Delia as a PN MP has fought and won an amazing battle against Steward. He has also more than made up for any mistakes since the time when he was leader.

Now, and for the last few years we have Bernard Grech. The surveys speak for themselves.

I am not saying Delia or Alex Borg would make a perfect leader but neither can be as bad as Grech and Delia deserves another chance.
