Frustration mounts against Roberta Metsola in PN as leader alternative for Bernard Grech is lacking

High-ranking PN members are venting their frustration internally over the European Parliament President, Roberta Metsola, for serving more as a liability for any PN leader than as an actual asset for the Party.

Roberta Metsola has no intention of taking over the leading role of the Nationalist Party.

Tomorrow, meetings will be held by senior-ranking PN officials and MPs to discuss the way forward for the Party. Party members say that the biggest issue with a potential resignation by Bernard Grech is that the PN has no better alternative for leader.

Bernard Grech may remain on as PN leader if there are no indications that anyone better than Bernard Grech can take on the leadership role, but internal dissent against Bernard Grech is also rising. Adrian Delia’s faction is leading the call for Bernard Grech to resign as PN leader.
