Building collapses in Paceville

A building close to the previous location of the Old Avenue, in Triq Paceville, St Julian’s, has just collapsed.  First responders arrived at the scene within minutes. No injuries have been reported so far. It appears that persons were evacuated from the building earlier today. A search is currently underway for persons that may have been trapped under the rubble.

From further research, it appears that the architect for the development adjacent to the block’s collapse is Maria Schembri Grima who has been in the news before. The application has currently been suspended at the architect’s request.

This is a developing story.
