AI Man is back: he will solve building collapse crisis with AI

After failing to solve Malta’s traffic problems with AI, Alexiei Dingli now wants to solve Malta’s building collapse crisis with AI.

AI, which is another term for automated software, will remain one of the biggest grifts in the years to come with many AI advocates promising to save the world for a quick profit. The effects and consequences of this new trend will be just like when crypto-currency advocates promised to change the world and revolutionise tech and a wave of scam companies and scam ideas were sold to investors with obviously, minimum results.

Like many things the answer about AI lies somewhere in the middle. AI which is just a buzzword and many times is a layman’s term for neural networks has many many useful applications like in the medical and education fields. But as always, bad actors can manipulate good things for their schemes. Is the Internet good, bad, over hyped? We’re using the Internet to read off thoughts that the author pens digitally. And we’re engaged when content is of high quality. But there’s the flip side of nowadays being bombarded by content via tiktok, youtube etc which can only be termed thrash. AI is no holy grail – yet. It won’t solve the World’s problems. It will make the richer even more rich. Just like the Internet. So the decision on how to use AI as with the Internet lies on the self. Use it in the best way possible. Neural nets are modelled on the human brain. The brain is more energy efficient but AI systems will catch up there too. Equating AI to crypto is with all due respect farcical. Lets appreciate the work carried out for decades in the fields of mathematics, hardware, software and neurology rather than cheaply infer untruths. Many are afraid of AI as it challenges and threatens their comfort zone. If that is so, my message is one: reinvent yourself.

You should read more about ai before writing such ridiculous article. If you don’t like dr Dingli its ok … But saying ai is a scam shows you know nothing about it. Start by the big medical breakthroughs in protein molecules etc. Please keep in mind that if you think so you will soon end up without a job.

  5. If anything, compare tech to tech ie to blockchain. AI is real, and extremely powerful, can be great and really dengerous at the same time.

A poor blogger always saying unfounded things. I can’t understand whats your speciality and domain expertise. Xejn ma tolqot. Gej bl AI scam. Maybe Dr Dingli could be but not AI. Last five years there was a breakthrough in everything from healthcare to how we live and work. Probably you also make use of chatgpt at least. And then you say AI is a scam.
