Chinese components have been found in a Shahed drone used in the latest night attack against Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities by Russia. At least one person was killed yesterday in Kyiv as a result of the Russian aerial attack against the city with hundreds of Shahed drones.
In June alone, Russia launched up to 209 missiles and 5446 drones at Ukrainian cities as the aerial attacks increased steadily ever since Donald Trump took office as US President in January this year. President Trump is also withholding air defence supplies from Ukraine as Russia increases the intensity of its attacks.
Meanwhile, the Chinese press is reporting that China’s Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi, told the EU High Representative Kaja Kallas that China does not want Russia to lose the war in Ukraine. Vice-President Commissioner Kaja Kallas told her Chinese counterpart that China’s support to Russia’s defence industry is a security threat to Europe.
Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha said that it was ironic that the Chinese components were used in drones that caused damages to the Chinese consulate building in Odesa. The Polish consulate in Kyiv was also damaged during the air attack.
