More sabotage by the Attorney-General

The Times of Malta is reporting that Information requests by the Attorney-General to the Swiss authorities on the bank account transfers by Vitals shareholders that included payments to Joseph Muscat by the Swiss company Acutor AG, have remained unanswered as the Swiss authorities claim that the Attorney-General didn’t file the requests according to Swiss law. The payments are related to Vitals and Steward Health Care case.

The Swiss authorities are known to be uncooperative with foreign authorities seeking details of clients of Swiss banks, however they are not impossible to deal with and political pressure can also significantly help in bringing the required information. There was clearly no effort by the local authorities to ensure that this information is obtained and the Prosecutor is still without the information while the case is ongoing in Court.

This is just one of the many series of acts of intentional sabotage by the Attorney-General of cases involving in high-profile individuals and previous politicians.

In a normal country, the AG would have resigned immediately.
