At least three people have been killed in Kyiv during this night as Russia rained hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles on several Ukrainian cities. Rescue workers had to pull out people from the rubble as several buildings collapsed as a result of the attack.
The attack took place after a day of calls between Kyiv and Moscow over preparations for a summit between planned by US President Donald Trump between Vladimir Putin and President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, there is yet no confirmation that President Zelensky will be meeting with Putin.
Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities have increased exponentially this year with one of the latest attacks targeting a US electronics manufacturer.
Ukraine is fighting Russia alone exclusively with European support and under pressure by the US to capitulate.
Meanwhile, Ukraine struck at least two Russian oil refineries during the night as part of its ongoing war effort against the Russian government’s main sources of revenues.
