Inflation in Europe has remained stable at 2% in the Euro area, edging slightly higher in the EU from 2.3% to 2.4% from July to August according to the latest Eurostat figures.
Inflation edged significantly higher in Romania with 8.5%, Estonia with 6.2% and Croatia with 4.6%. Inflation was lowest in Cyprus with 0%, France with 0.8% and Italy with 1.6%. Malta’s inflation rate rate was significantly higher than both the Euro and the EU’s average with 2.7% in August.
