Marlene Mizzi says she was fired as Malita Investments Chair after she confronted Minister Galdes over his interference

Marlene Mizzi, a previous Labour MEP and the wife of ex-Judge Antion Mizzi said in a statement that she was fired from her post of Chairperson of Malita Investments by Minister Roderick Galdes after confronting him over his interference and his backroom talks with the contractors of the company. She was referring to an article by The Shift News which quoted a contractor saying that he is owed up to โ‚ฌ1.6 million in payments from Malita Investments.

Social Housing Ministry Roderick Galdes has travelled to Singapore while being embroiled in a scandal about the social housing project in Luqa by Malita Investments, which has stalled because the company run out of funds. Marlene Mizzi was chairperson of Malita Investments from 2022 to 2024.
