Corrupt ex-taxman Marvin Gaerty to head Malita Investments

The corrupt taxman who was previously bribed by the Prime Minister’s friend and ex-business associate and drug dealer, Christian Borg, Marvin Gaerty is head to lead Malita Investments following the resignation of its chairman Johan Farrugia. Malita Investments is currently embroiled in a controversy over a stalled social housing project in Luqa wafter the company ran out of funds. The contractor is claiming โ‚ฌ1.5 million in unpaid bills.

Previous Malita Investments chairperson Marlene Mizzi accused Social Housing Minister Roderick Galdes of engaging in backroom talks with contractors.

Marcin Gaerty was Malta’s tax commissioner under Joseph Muscat’s administration and stepped down from his role in 2022 following an investigation over his underhanded relationship with Yorgen Fenech. Marvin Gaerty travelled with Christian Borg to Las Vegas in 2018. He was also earmarked to work for Yorgen Fenech after reducing his tax bills whilst serving as tax commissioner.

Joseph Muscat’s corrupt structure within the government is being gradually and fully restored.
