Speaking yesterday at the Munich Security Conference, NATO’s Secretary-General Mark Rutte warned European nations that Europe has to prepare for World War 3 if Russia wins in Ukraine. The NATO Secretary-General warned that Russia’s interests go beyond Ukraine and that it is preparing witth military and economic means, for a total war against Europe.
Mark Rutte’s comments come in stark contrast with the position of the US as prescribed in its National Security Strategy that calls for stabilisation of ties between Russia and Europe.
Meanwhile, as the US pressures Ukraine to capitulate and accept its US-Russia Pact, Ukraine and Europe have put together their unified counter-proposal composed of 20-points and have submitted it to President Donald Trump. President Zelensky said that any territorial concessions to Russia had top be approved by the Ukrainian people in a referendum. He also said that US security guarantees should be approved by Congress to make them binding.
On elections in Ukraine, President Zelensky said security is needed to hold elections including a ceasefire during the election process and voting. He said that the US could help in this matter. President Trump is now pressuring Zelensky to hold elections in Ukraine , saying that Ukrainians support his proposed US-Kremlin Pact. President Zelensky has consistently enjoyed high trust ratings in Ukraine.
Russia is pressuring Ukraine to capitulate by relentlessly bombing its cities and civilians.
