Malta’s Prime Minister uses Ukraine to score cheap political points

Prime Minister Robert Malta is back at using Russia’s war on Ukraine to score some cheap political points. He was at a political party rally today and explained Malta’s position against on the reparations loan to Ukraine with some incomprehensible babble about peace and legal concerns.

In reality, Malta will not be invoking a veto to block the measure, the Prime Minister has no idea what he is talking about and he is only interested in taking a little bit of the limelight after Hungary has been sidelined on the issue and Viktor Orban’s voice has become irrelevant.

All the while the Prime Minister of Malta parrots his incomprehensible Russian talking points about peace, Ukrainians in many cities remain without electricity under freezing temperatures as the EU Commission scrambles to fill Ukraine’s budget shortfall.

General Robert Abela also thinks Ukraine can’t win the war. Who told him that? The Minister for Defence, Byron Camilleri?

The Prime Minister should stop embarrassing us with his cheap political stunts, and instead address the perpetual crisis of corruption and criminality within his party and his government.
