Russian propaganda is increasingly describing Europe and its leading political parties as the “Party of War”. This is the same description used by the Labour Party against European Parliament President Roberta Metsola during the last EU parliament election campaign. The description has been repeated several times by the Labour Party propaganda outlets and its propagandists.
Russia has repeatedly accused Europe of preventing it from reaching a peace deal with Ukraine and it has used the aforementioned description when making this accusation. Labour Party MEPs have voted against the ReArm Europe programme, although they are in favour of increased military spending at home. The Prime Minister even used the gimmick-description of “economy of peace” to describe his policy.
The scaremongering with Russian propaganda slogans against the European Parliament President did not prove to be very effective, although they do distort the truth. Roberta Metsola went on to gain a record number of votes as the most voted for Maltese MEP in history.
Russia and the US are pressuring Ukraine to capitulate to Russia’s demands which include territorial concessions and restricting the size of Ukraine’s army. Russia has always blamed its aggression on exterior forces.
