Playing politics while committing criminal conspiracy: Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa

Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa seems to be rather insecure about a very strange series of decisions he has taken over the past two years which effectively involved him in committing criminal conspiracy with organised criminals, including politicians, to very blatantly, and explicitly cover-up crimes, obstruct justice and even allow the extensive embezzlement of public funds.

Apparently, this insecurity has prompted him to sign a very frivolous and highly unusual, yet mostly useless agreement with the Auditor General, to supposedly, “strengthen communication” with the Auditor-General. Meanwhile, the Auditor-General, who will soon be retired, was online during the festive holidays parlaying the political stunts of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education Matthew Vella.

How does one reinforce communication? Is is it by improving language and writing skills or is it by reinforcing the internet cable with a concrete layer?

This agreement is totally useless because the National Auditor is already obliged by law to inform the police of any criminal activity it detects. It’s as if the Police Commissioner wants to reassure us that he is doing his job and the Auditor-General has dropped any pretenses about his cynical understanding of the overwhelming corrupt reality he works in.

More will be revealed and explained in the coming weeks. This is of course a developing story.
