The Nationalist Party held a press conference today in Ċirkewwa on the ongoing issues about Gozo Channel. During the press conference, Opposition MP Chris Said that the government is mismanaging Gozo Channel and also stated that Minister for Gozo and the Environment Clint Camilleri, promised sub-contracted workers that worked for the Gozo Channel that they will eventually be employed directly by Gozo Channel.
The issue was previously the cause for a strike late last year.
Anthony Bezzina said that the government needs to improve the connectivity with Gozo by adding more ferry ships and improving port infrastructure. The Nationalist Party made no proposal for a bridge to Gozo in today’s press conference.
