Hamas is increasing it repression against Palestinians in Gaza fearing protests against it as Iranians clash with the Islamic regime in Iran. Hamas began a purge of dissidents and critics in Gaza as soon as the ceasefire with Israel was announced in October.
On Sunday, 5 o’clock in the morning, a Hamas unit of the Al-Sham’s Brigades, stormed a tent area in Deir al-Balah and attacked two men, Rani Warsh Agha and Abu Rashed Abu Ajina. They shot Rani in his foot and abducted Rashed after beating him and his relatives. Abu Rashed is also a trade unionist and Hamas declared that the individuals were sought for their political opposition to the group.
The Abu Ajina and Warsh Agha families are calling on international organisations to document the crime and hold those responsible accountable. Hamas has also been described as ISIS by the Ajina family.
