Social Housing Minister Roderick Galdes has resigned from his post. In a letter to the Prime Minister who accepted his resignation, Minister Galdes said he would fight the allegations against him and his family, but is resigning so as not to tarnish the government’s work.
Roderick Galdes accumulated a significant property portfolio while serving as Social Housing Minister. A property he purchased recently was officially purchased at a significant discount from market prices. He is currently being investigated by the Police after they re-opened the FIAU file about his extensive property purchases.
