Ali Khamenei’s son killed after US, Israel and Iran continue to exchange fire

The son and the earmarked successor of Ayotallah Ali Khamenei, Ayotollah Mojtaba Khamenei is being reported to have been killed in an airstrike according to Israeli sources. His father was killed yesterday with a direct strike against his compound. Previous President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is also being reported to have been killed during airstrikes.

Meanwhile, Iran continues to strike US military targets across the region including in Iraq (image below), and the UAE (footage below). Iran is also firing ballistic missiles towards Israel most of which are being intercepted. Up to five US servicemen have been killed during the Iranian attacks. US President Donald Trump announced that Iranian navy is also being sunk.

In Europe, talks are ongoing between London, Paris and Berlin on a potential joint military strike against Iran’s military capabilities following a case of an Iranian missile that strayed towards the direction of Cyprus, but the British Defence Secretary John Healey said that the missile was not intended to target Cyprus but rather a US naval force in the eastern Mediterranean.
