Malta declares solidarity with Qatar and the UAE over Iranian strikes

The Maltese government has declared its solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and Qatar after Iran struck US military bases in the region. Yesterday, Iran successfully struck US military installations in Qatar, the UAE and Bahrain. Malta has ongoing relations with the UAE and Qatar.

Malta’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ian Borg also said he was deeply concerned about ongoing developments and cautioned all parties in the conflict for maximum restraint to protect all civilians.ย  He added that Malta’s consular team and embassies in the region are providing assistance to Maltese nationals.
