Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says that there will be no more attacks on Gulf countries

The President of the Iranian three-man temporary leadership council, Masoud Pezeshkian, apologised to Gulf countries for Iran’s attacks and announced that Iran will cease its attacks on Gulf countries and that attacks will only take place if an attack originates from those countries against Iran. He said that “I must apologise on my own behalf and on behalf of Iran to the neighbouring countries that were attacked by Iran.”

However he also said that Iran will never surrender to the US and Israel and will keep on fighting.

Iran targeted US military bases and energy infrastructure in the Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and also Oman. Iran also targeted Azerbaijan’s international airport in Baku and Cyprus. Oil and gas prices have spiked as a result of Iran’s attacks that compelled shutdowns of oil and gas production across the region.

The Iranian President made his announcement with the backdrop of a picture of Ali Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei, who survived an Israeli airstrike against him and other clerics. The Iranian clerics want to appoint him the next Supreme Leader but President Donald Trump is opposing this and wants to have a say on who is appointed.
