Dubai business district bombed by Iranian drones

Iran launched a barrage of drones toward Dubai’s business and financial district earlier this morning. Debris from intercepted drones caused damage in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) area, including parts of nearby commercial buildings, though no major casualties were reported.

Authorities in the UAE are also arresting residents, including influencers and foreign workers for taking videos of drones and missiles falling in the Emirates. Various individuals have already been arrested including a Filipino worker.

Many foreign residents have already left Dubai and the Emirati authorities have once again issued notices encouraging foreigners planning to leave to leave immediately as flights were still available.

Shocking videos have also emerged online of pets, including dogs and cats being abandoned in the Emirates by their wealthy owners as they fled the country. Various videos circulating online showed dogs and cats locked in balconies of luxury apartments along with their own feaces.

Gulf countries are still being targeted by Iran despite a statement by the President of Iran apologising for the attacks. The Battle of Hormuz is ongoing.
