Islamic Regime demands US forces to leave Persian Gulf: say war will continue

Senior military officer and previous commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has told official State Iranian TV that the Islamic regime will keep on fighting until all US forces leave the Persian Gulf. Barrages of drones and missiles are still being fired at US and even European targets across the Gulf and the region.

The Battle for Hormuz is ongoing with the US trying to take control of the Strait with sheer airpower, however this has not yet been effective. Western vessels are being targeted by the IRGC in the Strait with the war having no end in sight. The US targeted military installations in Kharg Island and President Trump expects the IRGC to surrender, however targeting the IRGC in the Strait off Hormuz is not deterring attacks against Western vessels.

Oil prices remain high having closed up to $96.9 on Friday (West Texas Intermediate) but prices are actually higher in the physical market.
