Daniel Attard, the Labour MEP confused by the Belgian authorities for the Mayor of Għasri, has uploaded a dramatic video on social media declaring libel war against the press. He also posted a screenshot of one of our articles and we thank him for the credit.
Daniel Attard is now proposing to increase libel penalties for the press in Malta. The story was originally published in Belgium and not in Malta and cited an ongoing Police investigation. The press was correct in reporting about the investigation. The Maltese press didn’t libel him and if he has any issues he should take them to the Belgian Courts. But he won’t do this.
Instead he is bullying the press in Malta because Daniel Attard doesn’t know better and was raised by political mentors who were and are criminals.
Daniel Attard never denied meeting with Huawei representatives and watching a football game in Belgium with tickets purchased by Huawei. We have sent him an email to his official European Parliament address asking him whether he would like to deny these allegations. So far he has not replied.
Daniel Attard forms part of Malta’s most criminal and corrupt political clique. He has a history of deviousness and a very long track-record of lying such as when he worked as a diplomat in the UK all the while he was supposedly serving as Mayor of Mtarfa. Joseph Muscat’s clique is very well known for devious and subversvise behaviour and nothing should be excluded. This is why it is even more important for him to come clean and fully disclose his relation and contacts with Huawei.
