An old post dating from 2025 shows that Daniel Attard (the MEP) did indeed admit to receive free VIP tickets for a football match by Huawei. There was no confusion by the Belgian Police on this matter. The confusion is only with regard to the bank transfer by Huawei which was made to Daniel Attard of Gฤงasri and not Daniel Attard the MEP.
Daniel Attard went to a very irregular and potentially illegal meeting with Huawei representatives in a VIP box at a football match in Brussels. Daniel Attard blamed his employee for this meeting and said that his employee had invited him for a football match on a personal basis but wasn’t told that he would be introduced to Huawei representatives. Daniel Attard is most likely lying because he is accusing his employee of very serious accusations, yet Attila Benedek is still employed in the books of the European Parliament under Daniel Attard’s office.
Despite his own admission of having met Huawei officials, Daniel Attard is declaring a libel war against the press in Malta. The press in Malta never made any false accusations against him.
Daniel Attard is a devious politician who forms part of Malta’s most criminal and corrupt clique. These people, lie, cheat and steal and have no morals. There is nothing which has absolved Daniel Attard. We knew that Daniel Atta5rd watched a football match with Huawei officials and this is a fact. Daniel Attard did not disclose he was having a private meeting with Chinese officials who are actively lobbying European politicians and is instead blaming this incident on his employee. These facts are enough to put him under investigation. The fact that there was as payment by Huawei to Daniel Attard of Gฤงasri is also a very serious matter which should be investigated and which could also potentially be related.
