Updated: World War 2 hand-grenade found in Imqabba

Emergency services are on site in Triq Il-Paroฤ‹ฤ‹a, Imqabba after an undetonated World War 2 bomb has been found. The AFM’s bomb disposal unit is also on site to detonate the bomb. The area has been cleared.

After further investigation, it has resulted that the bomb in question is a British hand grenade from WWII which was found in a residence.

Police have sealed off the area and a medical team is also on site. It is understood that deactivating the grenade is a very delicate operation.
