Gzira resisdents ahd to endure over 14 hours of power cuts since the problem was far worse than anticipated. Residents who spoke to The Maltese Herald explained that a generator was eventually brought and power was restored around 330am. However it is not known if the fault was fixed yet.

It appears we may once again be facing a prolonged period of power outages as infrastructure struggles to cope. Residents in Gżira and Msida have been without electricity since 1:30pm, with Enemalta stating that its engineers are still working to resolve the fault.
At the same time, significant traffic congestion has been reported across parts of Gżira, Msida and San Ġwann since around 2pm, further disrupting movement in these areas.
