US President Donald Trump has suspended “Operation Freedom” which involved the US Navy transporting commercial vessels out of the Strait of Hormuz in spite of threats by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps will be suspended. Oil (WTI) went below $100 with the announcement.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragahchi is set to travel to Beijing, following a visit to Russia to meet Vladimir Putin.

Negotiations between the US and Iran are still ongoing with both sides claiming control of the Strait. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the US administration prefers to resume the free flow of shipping through the strait, as it was before the war started.
Previous to his announcement, President Trump said that the Iranian regime wanted to make a deal despite their public-discourse which was more diffident than reality.
