No comments by the Labour government over the Padel Courts construction in Malta’s new “National Park”

The Labour government and the Prime Minister have yet to give explanations about what will happen to the padel courts in Manoel Island after they have been sanctioned by the Planning Authority over a €900 fine. The padel courts were built illegaly but the Planning Authority has officially regularised them.

Manoel Island was promised as a national park but is instead being sliced up for the Prime Minister’s friends and supporters.

The Planning Authority is set to approve the sanctioning at a meeting on May 21st. We are uploading the report by the Case Officer who sanctioned this illegality and you can read it here. As you can see in the document, the case officer disregarded the myriad of objections and went to sanction the illegal works.

The Labour Party hasn’t won the elections yet and it has already started breaking its pledges.
