Negotiations between the US government and the Iranian regime have taken another difficult turn after Israel ignored the current ceasefire in Lebanon with Hezbollah and conducted military operations, capturing further territory inside southern Lebanon, including Beaufort Castle, near the town of Arnoun.
Israel also threatened to bomb Dahiyeh, Beirut’s southern suburbs, before President Donald Trump intervened and urged Israel to halt its military actions in Lebanon. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated publicly that Israel would go ahead with its military operations in Lebanon despite President Trump’s pleas.
Israeli bombings across the south of Lebanon were intense causing dozens of casualties. The Jabal Amel Hospital in Tyre was also struck: footage below.
The Iranian regime has reacted by announcing that the Strait of Hormuz will remain blocked. Press reports state that the Iranian regime withdrew from negotiations, but President Trump insists that negotiations are ongoing and that a deal may be struck by next week.
