“He gave us everything” – Assistant Commissioner Keith Arnaud

During Yorgen Fenech’s ongoing trial, Police Assistant Commissioner Keith Arnaud testified that Matthew Caruana Galizia provided police investigators with everything they had requested from him regarding Daphne’s material, digital data and content.

This is contrary to what the Labour Party has consistently claimed through its conspiracy theories about Daphne’s laptop—a dog whistle intended only to provoke and defame the victim’s family by portraying them to its sub-literate followers as some sort of criminals.

The Labour Party will always project its own vices onto others because it has no other way to defend its criminality.

Meanwhile, Keith Schembri was allowed to get away with refusing to hand over his electronic devices to the police. Note the difference between the way he was treated and the way Magistrate Gabriella Vella had no qualms about sending the police to Joseph Muscat’s home and even confiscating his children’s electronic devices—a customary procedure when dealing with dangerous and sophisticated criminals.

    Why should the police “investigate” the victim’s laptop? If there is anyone who is to be investigated, it is surely not the victim! Is this so difficult to understand?

      I think to check well who she was writing on at that time. However, the family (and rightly so) wanted to protect her sources.

      I am appalled by the fact that PL’s narrative always mentions Daphne’s laptop and not Keith Schembri’s (including his mobile phone). Also, from what I understood they didn’t really press him on finding both devices.

      The jury also mentioned the deleted messages between KS and his contacts and some of them couldn’t be extracted or recovered. These put a lot of unanswered questions.

    Mark, Daphne’s phone data was reconstructed via iCloud to the last bit. Keith’s Schembri’s phone disappeared and the police did not even try to access his iCloud to retrieve its data.

    As I have always emphasised here on your portal, Schembri is involved but made a deal with Muscat that he’s not touched otherwise he’ll reveal everything that could send Muscat to jail for a very long time. The deal was to get Theuma a pardon and put the blame solely on YF who was involved right from the beginning .
