How long will Keith Schembri be allowed to lie before the hammer of justice falls on him?

Keith Schembri’s attempts to cause disruption and divert attention from himself through his false statements in court are quickly backfiring, as Michelle Muscat and Kenneth Camilleri have already contradicted his absurd claim that a gun went off during an event. Schembri is well known for fabricating outlandish stories, such as the claim that Daphne Caruana Galizia was killed by oil smugglers.

Keith Schembri has been spared serious prosecution and investigations and has been allowed to get away with lying, withholding evidence and even had his assets unfrozen as the new Labour administration entered office.

Keith Schembri enjoys impunity and immunity from the law because he can blackmail the Prime Minister and his former master. Both the incumbent Prime Minister and his predecessor fear his retaliation and the disruption he could cause if he were to face the full force of justice. Yorgen Fenech, however, is putting Keith Schembri in a difficult position by implicating him in the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, leaving Schembri to defend himself against these accusations.

Note that neither Joseph Muscat nor Keith Schembri are vouching for the other. Both continue to maintain that they had nothing to do with the murder and argue that the fact they provided resources to the authorities for the investigation proves that they were not involved. This has always been their consistent claim.

However, Keith Schembri’s continued freedom and apparent impunity, while serious allegations are being made against him, have placed the country in a bizarre situation in which suspected high-profile criminals are allowed to defend themselves against serious accusations while facing little or no legal repercussions.

Ultimately, the murder case of Daphne Caruana Galizia revolves around Electrogas, and Joseph Muscat, Keith Schembri and Yorgen Fenech have yet to be prosecuted over the alleged corrupt scheme behind the project.

So either Mrs Muscat and Mr. Camilleri are lying or Mr. Schembri is lying.

      Who knows who’s lying.

I think they’re turning against Schembri… or maybe that’s what they want to show us.

I am sure that bold statements from Schembri like this one with gun, the naked lawyer in Castille, Medici book etc… are all tactics from Schembri to deviate attention. He’s good at it – and one of the reasons why Labour keeps on winning elections.
