Melvin Theuma then met Keith Schembri again in April 2017 (before the general election was announced) just days after Yorgen Fenech commissioned him to broker the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia. After being contracted to broker Daphne’s murder, Melvin Theuma went to Castille and was given a job by Keith Schembri, who told him that he did not even need to go to work to receive his salary. He then took a photo with him. Melvin Theuma also said that Yorgen Fenech knew about this public-job arrangement before he had the chance to tell him about it.
Keith Schembri rarely if ever met with Labour Party supporters to hand out personal favours, let alone to distribute jobs for which workers did not even need to show up.
Melvin Theuma also stated during his testimony today that he went to Castille again another time to meet with the “Castille official” Charlene Bianco Farrugia. This is the same person who had an intimate relationship with Yorgen Fenech and served as a back-channel between Keith Schembri and Yorgen Fenech.
