Joseph Muscat’s friends come to his defence with his refrain about “calling the FBI”

There’s so much desperation right now among the friends of the disgraced ex-Premier Joseph Muscat that you can feel the tension and stress from the other end of the screen.

Joseph Muscat’s friends and allies are all coming out in defence of him over the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia as extensive testimony in Court by Melvin Theuma delineates the strong and very close relationship between Yorgen Fenech and Keith Schembri.

Chats have also been mentioned in Court between Joseph Muscat and Yorgen Fenech and a reference was also made to a WhatsApp group called “No Valletta No Party” which included some high-profile government officials, Keith Schembri, Yorgen Fenech and Joseph Muscat.

Now, his friends and supporters are coming out to defend him mostly by repeating his refrain that he had nothing to do with the murder because “he called the FBI”. His friends and allies are buttressing this talking point with stories, fantasies and pseudo-intellectual drivel. You can see the comments being made below.

It’s extremely strange if not bewildering that a disgraced Prime Minister needs so much heavy-lifting to be defended over murder – as in, why would people need to do all this heavy-lifting to defend you if you are actually innocent and have nothing to worry about?

The best defence against being involved in her murder would have been a stance of moral principle which would translate as “I believe in democracy and the rule-of-law and I would have never involved myself in a murder, let alone the murder of a government critic and a journalist.” But he can’t say that, can he? He is someone who besmirched and sabotaged the rule-of-law and has a track record of corrupting the Police and the authorities to cover up his and his friends’ corruption including that of Yorgen Fenech.

The crook and criminal is probably severely stressed.

    The situation seems to becoming desperate for the reputation launderers of Muscat & Co. Also desperate is the way Muscat is tackling his own court cases. Instead of attacking the investigation, Muscat has repeatedly attacked the investigator. Harbinson. Milenovic. Efimova. Perhaps an article about this would make interesting reading Mark.

    Joseph Muscat must have known that murder was on the cards, well before it happened. He created the circumstances that made it possible, and backed it up with trolls who were constantly fanning the flames. He is an accessory to murder.
