This may be a good time to publish this, as chats between Yorgen Fenech and Joseph Muscat are being referred to in Court. This is a chat between Joseph Muscat and Yorgen Fenech in February 2019 about a party Joseph Muscat held for his friends at Girgenti Palace – a public property used by the Prime Ministers of Malta for social events.
During this event, Yorgen Fenech gave Joseph Muscat a gift which consisted of a Petrus wine bottle that costs up to โฌ5,800. Joseph Muscat stated that he did not keep the gift and left it at Girgenti Palace.
In this chat, Yorgen Fenech and Joseph Muscat discuss the event at Girgenti. After having met at Girgenti, they continued the chat in the morning, with the subject being a group of investors who wanted to purchase a share of the Electrogas project. The individual in question who Joseph Muscat mentions is Paolo Scaroni, who is Chairman of the Italian energy group Enel, and also of Milan FC. You can read the exchange below. They also chat about Yorgen Fenech’s drug rehabilitation programme (he was rehabilitated for cocaine use).
There are more chats between Yorgen Fenech and Joseph Muscat which are more serious than this, which show and prove Joseph Muscat’s proximity and close friendship with Yorgen Fenech.
Note that Yorgen Fenech planned to pass on bribes to Joseph Muscat, Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi via his Dubai-based shell company 17 Black. The bribes were for the Electrogas project.
