No update by the Police on the arrest of the jurors: what we know so far

There has been no update so far about the Police arrests of yesterday, and the Police have made no updates so far.

Three jurors were arrested yesterday and interrogated at the FCID headquarters. The husband of one of the jurors was also interrogated. They were all released on bail.

Earlier today, a reserve juror was also called in for questioning.

The jurors are being interrogated over online comments they made before the trial, which could have compromised their oath.

One juror is also suspected of having used a mobile phone during the trial.

The investigations are ongoing.

More updates will be provided later.

  1. What were the comments they made?

  2. This was bound to happen as Malta is a small country and everyone has an opinion especially a political one. Whats the big deal if they posted some comment online 9 years ago ? And if they did this and it is not acceptable its the courts fault for not digging into their past. How do you expect anyone to remember a comment they posted years ago ?

They took an oath before selection that they never posted anything on Facebook on Daphne. If they confirmed they did, they would have been automatically disqualified. This has nothing to do with having a political opinion.
