There are few more useless politicians in Labour right now than Anton Refalo. A corrupt thief who today serves as Agriculture Minister, he also responsible for animal rights through Junior Minister (Parliamentary Secretary) Alicia Bugeja Said. Thanks to these two imbeciles who wanted to appease a couple of Maltese criminals and bullies, Malta is being inundated with exotic animals.
On the other hand, the situation for abandoned animals is so severe that animal shelters are flooded and foreign NGOs chipping in by exporting abandoned animals out of Malta. It is the first time in our history that foreign NGOs are being involved in our country to help out with the abandoned animals problem.
The situation at animal shelters has got even worse as Anton Refalo employed a host of friends at the only government-run animal shelter in Qormi, who refuse to do their basic duties or even enter the shelter itself to do some work. As a Labour Minister, Anton Refalo gained a reputation for corruption, exorbitant spending and mass clientalism by employing as many Gozitan friends as money allows.
On the other hand, there’s nothing to say about agriculture because it’s mostly a dead and dying industry and Anton Refalo has done nothing about it. Instead, Anton Refalo is busy stealing historical items from public spaces and making sure his 19-year old daughter is elected mayor of a Gozitan village.
I feel grossed out even writing about him.
