Updated: Yoav Gallant wrote a very brief statement on X.com, but he has given no explanation on the circumstances of his resignation so far.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has fired his Minister of Defense and accused him of leaking information to the “enemy”. Yoav Gallant is the Defense Minister who announced a siege on Gaza and also has a pending arrest warrant against him by the International Criminal Court over his war crimes in Gaza.
Yoav Gallant was expected to give a press conference following his dismissal but failed to show up and is yet to give a statement.
