Kurdish forces prepare for major fight against Turkish backed-forces

There has been no agreement between the Kurdish armed forces in northern Syria and the new Syrian leadership of Ahmed al-Sharaa (Abu Mohammed al-Jolani) over the future of the Kurdish territories and the Kurdish armed forces. The new Syrian leadership is demanding for the Kurdish armed forces to lay down their weapons and integrate their fighters with the regular Syrian army. Kurdish armed forces mainly lead by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) control the Syrian territory behind the Euphrates river, although they have withdrawn from Manbij due to recent fighting against the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army.

Meanwhile, US forces have taken over the base in Kobani and are said to be in preparations to take over the Russian base in Qamishli once the Russians are allowed to evacuate. US forces in Syria have also released a propaganda video showing a Bradley fighting vehicle with a message of support to their allies in the region: an implicit reference to the Kurds.

Both Kurdish forces and the Turkish backed Syrian National Army are preparing for a major confrontation against each other.
