Christian Borg, the previous drug trafficker, and business partner of the Prime Minister, has been under scrutiny and investigation by multiple authorities for at least four years and the Police even have an FIAU file about him. The Prime Minister’s brother-in-law is his lawyer.
The Police also have evidence and intelligence about Christian Borg’s links with Jomic Calleja Maatouk, Lilu l-King and other known criminals in Malta. The Attorney-General Viktoria Buttigieg made strong resistance against his prosecution for money laundering by the Police’s Financial Crimes Investigation Department. What was not revealed by this website, which has now been verified from our sources, is that Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa also intervened to help protect Christian Borg and this was in 2021 when the FCID intended to raid the properties of Christian Borg over a tip-off and intelligence that Christian Borg had at least €1 million in cash in one of his properties. The raid was also part of an extensive investigation that covered the links between Christian Borg and other criminals like Jomic Calleja Maatouk. The raid was cancelled with Police officers citing “higher Police sources” for the cancellation of the raid, implying the Police Commissioner.
There is still ample intelligence available that links Christian Borg to other criminals and despite the efforts made by the Police Commissioner to suppress the investigation, there are still Police officers and other authorities who are still investigating him.
