The two escaped passengers still at large

Days after the emergency landing of an aircraft in Malta, in which four Moroccan passengers escaped, police continue searching for two of them – a situation that has raised a number of questions over the manhunt in progress.

The incident occurred on 30th December, 2024 when a plane en-route to Istanbul made an unscheduled stop at Malta International Airport for a medical emergency.ย  During the diversion, four men managed to flee the aircraft.ย  While police managed to arrest two of the escapees where were later deported, the remaining two are still unaccounted for.

The police launched an intensive search operation, but since early January, no updates have been provided, and many are still wondering whether these fugitives are still on the island or have slipped away unnoticed.
