Yesterday, Jason Azzopardi re-submitted two requests for magisterial inquiries into alleged corruption by Gozo and Planning Minister Clint Camilleri, just an hour after the initial requests were rejected on a technicality. Apparently, since the subjects of the inquiries are from Gozo, the requests had to be filed at a police station in Gozo rather than in Malta. Jason Azzopardi complied with the requirement within an hour.

The Labour Party is trying to depict Jason Azzopardi as someone who is using the system of justice vexatiously. If they did nothing wrong they wouldn’t fear any investigation, although it’s been a long time since we last heard this argument used by Labour politicians. Previously, they used to say this a lot when they were wrongly assured that only the Police could investigate them
