Robert Agius and Jamie Vella have been handed a life sentence each for supplying the bomb that killed Daphne Caruana Galizia. Adrian Agius, Jamie Vella, and George Degiorgo and were handed life sentences over the murder of lawyer Carmel Chircop.

In their statement to the Court, the jury said they believed the testimonies of Melvin Theuma and Vince Muscat. This statement may strongly help the prosecution against Yorgen Fenech in his upcoming trial. Yorgen Fenech is being accused of commissioning the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia.

Vince Muscat (Il-Koฤงฤงu) was given a Presidential pardon to reveal everything he knew about the murder of Carmel Chircop.

Only Yorgen Fenech remains to be tried for the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia among those who have been arrested in relation the case. No politicians have so far been arraigned in court in connection with the journalistโ€™s murder, despite the close relationship between the former Prime Ministerโ€™s chief of staff, Keith Schembri, and Yorgen Fenech
