Tal-Maksar gang get to keep their money as police investigations on financials are lacking

Despite the Court’s verdict and the life sentences handed to the Maksar brothers who supplied the bomb that killed journalist, Daphne Caruana Galizia, the victory against their criminal organisation is not yet complete.

The Tal-Maksar gang still have a range of assets which they can make use of to continue their illegal businesses and conspiracies. The Police did not ensure to investigate and recoup all of their assets.

The same can be said about the Degorigio brothers who have been convicted of commissioning the hit against the journalist.

Meanwhile, the Police Commissioner is busy investigating dissident Robert Aquilina over a vexatious domestic violence case, and another sham case about the Pilatus Bank leaks.
